The Fashion Department provides an ambitious environment in which innovation, invention, and originality can be developed via highly imaginative and dynamic teaching and learning.
Staff are creative, enthusiastic and professional, a team with vision. We believe in the vital role that designers play in society and are dedicated to guiding students to their chosen career.
The course modular framework embraces all elements of fashion design which include; trend prediction; range building; fashion illustration; visual arts; styling; pattern cutting and construction.
In an atmosphere of design exploration and technical enquiry learner's can acquire skills to enable them to become versatile fashion specialists. Their artistic talents are integrated with garment construction techniques to produce unique fashion statements.

2008 FASHION

Showcasing your own collection is the highlight of a season for all designers. Nerves jangling and the air electric with excitement the backstage to this Finale was a hub of activity. The National Wool Museum of Wales in Drefach Felindre, proved to be a picturesque venue to hold this event on 26th June 2008. The evening was a huge success hosted by S4C presenter Huw Rees. A wide range of fabrics and techniques were used with some employment of innovative pattern cutting skills. The designers showed collections that were very individual yet relevant to today’s’ fashion arena with consideration for clients and trends.
