The National Diploma Fashion and Clothing course is a two year full time course with progression routes into employment or onto BA programmes in fashion or fashion related subjects. The course aims to develop learner's creative and technical skills within the field of fashion. Learners are encouraged to be independent, enquiring and capable of responding to design briefs which are often live industry briefs and competitions.

Staff are creative, enthusiastic and professional, a team with vision. We believe in the vital role that designers play in society and are dedicated to guiding students to their chosen career.

The course framework embraces all elements of fashion design which include; trend prediction; range building; fashion illustration; visual arts; millinery and accessory design; knit; print; styling; pattern cutting and construction. Experiential learning is advocated, allowing learners to experience a wide range of activities and develop diverse skills which widens learners opportunity to progress into employment or higher education. The learning programme is enhanced by excellent state of the art equipment and facilities including Gerber CAAD technology and laser joining technology.

Study visits are an integral part of the course and learners can expect to visit exhibitions and trade fairs within the UK each term along with an international visit each year to New York Fashion Week.
